1. LIMITED WARRANTIES
- Hour Computers warrants to the purchaser that all products, excluding software, will be free from defects in material and workmanship. The warranty period commencing on the date of purchase will be: one (1) years limited warranty on labor & one (1) year limited warranty parts for complete computer systems, one (1) year limited warranty on parts for bare bone systems, one (1) year on new parts, and thirty (30) days on all special close-out items. This warranty shall NOT extend to any physical damage or any damage, defect or malfunction caused by a misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized repair/modification, or improper freight by the customer.
- Thirty-Day Replacement Parts Limited Warranty: Replacement parts for system repair and systems shipped by Hour Computers are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for thirty (30) days from date of shipment by Hour Computers.
- The Thirty-Day replacement parts Limited Warranty becomes effective on the date of shipment from Hour Computers, is granted to the initial customer end-user only and are nontransferable. Removal of hardware from a Hour Computers system and use of such hardware in a different system or configuration voids all applicable limited warranties. Any claims under these warranties must be made before the end of the applicable warranty period. During such period, if Hour Computers determines that a part or system is defective in material or workmanship, Hour Computers, at its option, may replace the system; provide a repaired part or any part of equal or better performance.
Hour Computers reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable reconditioned parts and systems. Hour Computers responsibility is limited to repair or replacement, either of which may be selected by Hour Computers at its sole discretion.
- All warranty products apply only to product sold and shipped to addresses within the Canada and the United States.
The above warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of all other warranties, whether express or implied including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and of fitness for a particular purpose. Hour Computers CANNOT and DOES NOT warrant the performance of any software provided with or as part of the product. All software is provided "AS IS" and without warranties of any kind. (Please refer to the licensor of such software which exclusively governs all terms and conditions of the software's use).
- Hard drives are all warranted for 3 years. The first year is handled by Hour Computers, the 2nd and 3rd year are handled by the manufacturer directly. It is recommended clients deal with the manufacturer during the 1st year due to the fact that manufacturers accelerate the RMA process for end users. Clients are required to deal direct with the manufacturer during the 2nd and 3rd year of warranty.
STRAIGHT EXCHANGE: Hour Computers will only exchange defective / broken products for new ones within 30 days of the purchase. After 30 days, the part will be sent back to the manufacturer and the client must wait for it to come back to get their replacement / repaired item.
2. RETURN POLICY
- Hour Computers' return policies are: 1) current value refund within seven (7) days from date of purchase.* 2) Twenty-five (25%) restocking fee if returned within thirty (30) days. 3) Absolutely NO refund after thirty (30) days. 4) CPU, software, memory, customized or special order items, shipping and handling fees are NOT refundable or exchangeable. In addition all opened returns after 7 days will automatically be charged a 25% restocking fee. No refunds for opened software. Due to constant fluctuations in the market, we are unable to offer any form of price protection. * All system returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- The returned product must be clearly marked RMA on the label and should be shipped in the original packaging, prepaid and insured by you in order to prevent damage during shipping. You must retain tracking numbers and all other shipping information until you have been credited for the return by Hour Computers. Any product returned without authorization will be returned to the customer at his or her own expense.
- All returns MUST be in re-sellable condition with original invoice, packing materials, accessories, drivers and manuals. Hour Computers reserves the right to refuse such return if it does not meet the requirements.
3. RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION POLICY
- Any and all defective merchandise must be covered by a Return Merchandise Authorization, to be obtained from Hour Computers' RMA department prior to the return. To request warranty service, you must email Hour Computers' RMA at rma@hourcomputer.com within the warranty period.

- Returns must be sent via UPS, Federal Express, Purolator, or any courier that issues a tracking number. Please e-mail return tracking numbers to our customer support service department at rma@hourcomputer.com. Hour Computers reserves the right to charge up to the full purchase price of the item being if: (I) The product becomes damaged due to Misuse or (II) The product is damaged in transit due to inappropriate packing materials
- RMA products returned by shipping should be shipped back to Hour Computers service center in their original or equivalent packaging, carefully packed and well protected, RMA should be clearly written on the shipping box. Any products returned without an RMA authorization will be returned to sender at sender's own risk and expense.
When returning an RMA to Hour Computers, include a copy of the original invoice and a detailed description of the apparent or alleged defect. Purchaser must pay freight for the product to be returned to Hour Computers. The turn around time for RMA products may vary, average RMA time is between 2 and 6 weeks.
- Hour Computers tests all RMA products that are returned by the customer to determine if repair, exchange or replacement is needed. Products with "No Problem Found" (NPF) will be shipped back to the customer in the original condition and a return shipping charge will be applied. A $39.95 labour fee will also be charged for the time involved in testing / returning the part.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT RETAIL PRODUCTS: All retail products have a (TM) warranty beside them. That means that the warranty is THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER. Hour Computers does offer a straight exchange within the first 30 days but the client must send it back to the manufacturer after that point. All monitors are warranted direct through the manufacturer.
4. SPECIAL REPAIR POLICY
Prior to sending in computer systems, bare bone products or hard disk drives for repair, customers should back-up all the valuable data. Hour Computers is NOT responsible for any loss of customer's data nor the software or driver that were not originally pre-loaded in the computer systems.
Bare bone systems and motherboard with CPU's sold by Hour Computers are pre-tested but sold as "PARTS ONLY". Thirty-nine ($39) dollars per hours labor charge will be applied if customers need to have a Hour Computers technician install or diagnose their software, hardware, or repair any other problems.
Hour Computers does not provide free software tutoring or customization, or support for any other accessories, including software, or any products purchased from third party vendors. Hour Computers may provide fee-based support for these or any other issues falling outside the scope of basic technical support. You will be notified of any applicable fee before Hour Computers technical support begins resolution of your issue.
Hour computers is not required to advise or remind you to read the above statements and takes no responsibility for people who do not.
All Hour Computers warranties are depot warranties, (return to our service centre). All on-site service contracts are sold separately. Any shipping charges are not covered by our warranty.
Hour Computers systems that are sold without an operating system will not receive any free tech support unless it is found that a hardware component is defective. In this case the component will be replaced if the system is under warranty, it is the customers responsibility to re-install their operating system and drivers. Hour Computers will re-install a customer’s operating system and drivers provided they have an original legal registered version of the software and a service fee will apply and that will be determined by a technician. All returns and repairs must be accompanied by the original receipt or service order. If Hour Computers repairs or replaces a product, its warranty term is not extended.
All Hour Computers computers come with a 1 year labour warranty and a 1 year limited hardware warranty.
